Territories
‘Cinema en curs’ started in Catalonia in 2005-2006 in seven schools of very different geographical and sociocultural contexts. The diversity of the participants and the exchange through the programme of shared viewings and practices has been a structural aspect of the project.
The expansion of the participating territories in ‘Cinema en curs’ is a great enrichment for the project and for the exchange between the students:
- Cine en curso in Córdoba (Argentina) from 2013
- Cine en curso in Madrid from 2013-2014
- Cinema en curso in Galicia from 2013-2014 with CGAI
- Cine en curso in Chile from 2014 with Gaticine
- Klasse(n) Filme in Germany (Brandenburg and Berlin) since 2016 with Kijufi
- Zinema (h)abian en Euskadi since 2017 with Tabakalera and Zine Eskola
- Cine en curso México since 2020 with Cine Ambulante
- Cinema en curs València since 2021. And since 2023-2024 with Filmoteca de València
- Cine en curso en Navarra since 2024-2025.
Furthermore, ‘Cinema en curs’ is the starting point of ‘Moving Cinema’, a European project lead by A Bao A Qu and initiated in 2014, that receives support of Creative Europe in the line of MEDIA - Audience Development. ‘Cinema en curs’ participates in other European projects such as ‘Le cinéma, cent ans de jeunesse’ and CinEd (lead by the Institut français).
