Workshops
The workshops are developed with students between 8 and 18 years old, and are conducted together by a team of teachers and a filmmaker during school hours and linked to different subjects (language and literature, socials, arts, music, etc.)
We work both fiction and documentary, based on a methodology fostered by the link between filmmaking and film-viewing.
Most of the workshops are developed throughout the whole course. Quarterly and biannual workshops are also conducted. In all the cases the filmmaker leads a weekly session between three-hour and a whole day.
After several practices with mobile phones, camcorders and professional equipment, the students make their final short films with professional equipment.
The students are authors of all the processes that are always made collectively, from the screenplay to the editing. The screenplay is made by the entire group; during the shooting all students rotate positions so all of them develop each task (director, camera, assistant, sound recorder, script, etc). For the editing, working in small groups is alternated with working the whole class.
